Hunnicutt has been a part of 8 state championship teams during his coaching tenure. He helped lead Buford to 7 state titles during his time on staff and was a part of the 2021 Collins Hill state championship team.

Hunnicutt holds a bachelor of arts degree in education from the University of Georgia.

A native of Marietta, GA, Hunnicutt has one daughter, Presley.
