Niblett graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama in Human Performance Studies.
Josh Niblett played football at the University of Alabama, lettering for three years under Coach Gene Stallings from 1993 to 1995. His coaching career began as an assistant at Jacksonville State University before becoming the head coach at Oneonta High School in 2000. At Oneonta, he led the team to a Class 3A State Championship in 2004. Niblett then served as head coach at Oxford High School before taking over at Hoover High School in 2008. During his tenure at Hoover, he won six state championships and consistently guided his team to the state semifinals or better. In December 2021, Niblett became the head coach at Gainesville High School in Georgia.
Niblett has coached numerous players that have gone on to play at all levels of college football and the NFL.
A native of Demopolis, Alabama, Niblett and his wife Karon have three children Shaw (25), Harper (22), and Sky (19).
