Niblett attended Harding University and earned a Business Administration (BA) degree in Physical Education. He was a four year starter at quarterback for the Bisons and he was selected for all-conference his senior year. He also earned a Masters in Educational Leadership from Troy University.

A native of Harpersville, AL Niblett and his wife Paige have two children Riley (27) and Cassidy (24).
